Physician (Hospitalist)

Candidates should have expertise in inpatient medical management and critical care experience. As the in-house medicine attending physician you will be addressing requests for transfer to Medicine Service from outside facilities and urgent/emergent general medicine consults. Some other functions are performed by the Hospitalist include, but are not limited to the following:
Attending responsibilities on inpatient medicine team Coordination of inter-facility transfers Supervision and education or residents Assuring performance measures are met on inpatients Coding and documentation conferences The physician should demonstrate the ability to work well with a large, diverse and dedicated patient care staff. The position includes a faculty appointment at the affiliated Louisiana State University Health and Science Center commensurate with qualifications. Duties will include clinical practice, and teaching fellows, residents and medical students. Work Schedule:

United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
