Janitorial Area Supervisor
JANITORIAL FLOOR and CARPET SUPERVISOR, Shreveport, LA
Red River Sanitors, Inc is seeking a supervisor to oversee the operation of the floor and carpet cleaning division. This position reports directly to the Special Services Manager. Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet our customer's needs. Must have at least two years supervisory experience. Prior management experience is a big plus and salary depends on amount of experience. If you have proven operation and managerial skills, you will excel in this position. Seeking individuals with strong leadership qualities and people skills.
Job Purpose
Provide day-to-day leadership, training and coaching of the special services crew.
PRIMARY DUTIES ARE:
Ensure all work standards are adhered to by the crew
Perform On the Job training as needed when crews are not following proper procedures
Monitor and assist crews with work progress
Perform janitorial and maintenance duties as needed
Perform quality assurance checks and ensure jobs are completed properly, on time and on budget.
Make recommendations to the Special Services Managers on ways to improve our service
EXPECTATIONS ARE:
Possess good judgment
Good decision making ability
Understands the sense of urgency in performing work quickly and correctly
Must be able to work under pressure
Needs excellent communication skills
Must be a team player
Needs to be flexible in works days and hours.
Must be able to pass random drug screenings
Must possess a clean DMV record
REQUIRED SKILLS
Detailed knowledge of stripping VCT, all methods of carpet cleaning.
Ability to operate all types of janitorial equipment: side by side buffer, high speed buffer, extraction carpet cleaner, auto scrubber, etc.
Strong supervisory skills
A great problem solver
The ability to motivate and inspire their team.
Can work independently and handle deadlines.
Takes pride in the finished product. Driven to be the best service in the market.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
