Production Process Engineer needed for a permanent position in Shreveport, Louisiana with an international manufacturing of consumer goods. The company is expanding its current production, is implementing a new LEAN manufacturing process, and is looking to add a qualified candidate coming from a similar background. Responsibilities for the Process Engineer
Support Plant Process Optimization efforts through Process Improvement and Cost Reduction Projects employing LEAN and Six Sigma Tools.
Process analysis, system design, reliability analysis, light mechanical design, problem solving, and project management.
Will be hands-on, working in all areas of the manufacturing plant and solving problems both on the floor and in design.
Insure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished-products and process capabilities, establishing standards and confirming manufacturing processes.
Position will comprise of 50% Design / 50% hands-on work on the Production Floor.
Requirements for the Process Engineer
Engineering Degree required (Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing).
3-5 years of experience with Mechanical design and Manufacturing Processes.
Strong backgroung with CAD (AutoCad and/or Solidworks).
Experience with LEAN and Six Sigma tools desired.
Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) desired.
