Reliability Engineer-Preventive Maintenance/Root Cause Analysis/Machine Reliability

Reliability Engineer needed for a glass tableware manufacturer. This position supports the plant by improvement of Preventive Maintenance Systems, leveraging Predictive Maintenance Tools and evaluation of Machine Reliability issues. Salary is based upon qualifications and experience so all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply. This is a permanent position located in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Responsibilities for the Reliability Engineer
Develops effective PM's and makes recommendations to improve maintenance work practices
Forecasts, plans and develops schedules for maintenance and project work
Makes recommendations to improve efficiency of Skilled Trades Crew, Work Methods and Plant Equipment
Prepares reports and communicates plans to Plant Personnel. Works with the JDE CMMS, Report Generation Software, Excel and Access Databases to produce needed reports and statistics
Collects and analyzes data to determine root causes and recommends solutions
Requirements for the Reliability Engineer
BS in Engineer or an Associate's degree and significant experience in Maintenance or Reliability
Must have a record of demonstrated proficiency in Plant Maintenance, Machine Reliability and Skilled Trades Activities
Must have extensive knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Components, Construction Methods and Applicable Codes/Safety Procedures
Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis
Maintenance Planning experience
LEAN training and experience in implementing LEAN concepts preferred
