(reporting to the VP Operations) will direct, manage and coordinate the transportation of materials throughout the entire company supply chain. This includes inbound material from primarily Asian suppliers, distribution to and between several company distribution centers and shipments outbound to North American customers. The Logistics Manager will manage the tradeoff between stocking policies, freight costs and on-time delivery service to customers.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Freight negotiations and logistics practices, including:
Sea freight inbound from Asia
Transfer from entry ports to company distribution centers
Inter-company shipments to balance inventory between distribution centers
Outbound shipments from distribution centers to customers
Outbound shipments to Canada
Shipment of materials to trade shows, etc.
Develop and track freight budget and report variances
Accurate billing of freight and accessorial charges
Warehouse planning and management, including:
Smooth flow of materials throughout company distribution centers
Distribution center expansions and startups
Distribution center space planning
Import and export documentation and tariff compliance
Skills needed:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, or Business
Experience in transportation negotiations

years logistics experience
Excellent systems and
computer
skills
Experience managing inbound overseas/international freight to include import export laws and documention
Experience managing outbound Canadian freight and Non-Resident Importation (NRI) process
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Able to travel as required to distribution centers throughout the U.S.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
