Project Manager (HGA-R)
Position Summary & Duties:
The Project Manager position is a direct-hire position working for HGA at our office in Ruston, LA.
Qualified candidates will be considered if located in the Shreveport, LA area.
Responsible for the administrative and technical management as necessary over more than one major function, section, or department on projects in engineering and/or construction ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
Provides consultation and expert advice to management.
PROJECT MANAGER POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
o Lead the planning and implementation of project o Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables o Define project tasks and resource requirements, and develop full scale project plans o Manage project budget; manage and track project resource allocation and project timelines o Provide direction and support to project team o Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
o Conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
o Elicits cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
Qualifications:
PROJECT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
o Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college required; engineering or engineering technology degree preferred.
o 5
years of engineering consulting, capital project execution experience, or applicable experience is required.
o Experience in the Oil & Gas, Wood Products, Pulp & Paper, Specialty Chemicals, Renewables, Manufacturing, Material Handling industries is preferred.
o Experience with phase gate project execution for capital projects (IE FEL0/1/2/3 and DDE) is a plus.
o PMP certification is a plus.
o Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
o Master's Degree in Engineering, Management, or Business is a plus.
o Technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Suite; Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project Scheduling software(s) is plus.
o Located within daily commuting distance of Shreveport or Ruston, LA, or be willing to relocate to those areas.
