Company DescriptionThe Housing Authority of the City of Shreveport (HACS) provides quality affordable housing to low-income families and individuals through the effective and efficient administration of housing assistance programs.
Job DescriptionRESIDENT SERVICES COORDINATORGeneral Description of PositionCoordinate activities, manage, counsel, and evaluate a caseload of participants in the HACS Resident Services Program.
Provide and arrange training program, conduct orientations, evaluations and appraisals of clients, collect data file reports and provide technical assistance to HACS staff with related work as required.
Essential Functions Coordinate the HACS effort to make families self-sufficient with social, community and other public agencies that provide assistance to the Resident Services program.
Organize an agenda and participates in meetings that provide residents information on the Resident Services program.
Conduct one-on-one interviews with Resident Services participants, prepare contracts, prepare needs assessment, and make referrals.
Act as liaison between program participants and various community resources.
Create and maintain case files on all Resident Services and Homeownership program participants.
Plan and coordinate special events and programs as assigned.
Prepare a variety of written materials to address participant needs including brochures, handouts, and newsletters.
Prepare reports for the program by individual participants and submit to the Executive Director.
Assist participants to increase knowledge of issues related to credit, budgeting, and finances through one on one work and/or referrals.
Prepare proposals for services as needed.
Compensation/

Bachelor's degree in Social Work Two years of responsible community or social service experience that includes case management.
Possession or the ability to obtain a Family Self-Sufficiency Certification.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
