REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 2 years' relevant experience
in programming and systems design OR an equivalent combination of education and 4 years' experience in a similar role.Extensive working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software
(including file servers, storage area networks (SAN), virtualization, routers,
switches, gateways, printers, UPS devices), and network communication protocols including TCP/IP.
Ability to work effectively with all types of people at all levels of the organization, both within and outside the ITG. IT security understanding /background and possibly security certification such as CompTia
Security+.HIPAA & PCI/DSS experience a Plus.

Job Concepts:
The IT Security Analyst reports to the Information Security Officer for LSUHSC-S. This individual assist creating and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure provisioning, efficiency, and maintenance that is consistent with organizational goals, and industry best practices. Additionally, the position will assist creating, testing and implementing a disaster recovery plan, business continuity plan, and emergency preparedness of IT resources. Incumbent conducts thorough problem analysis in regard to technical system and application programs; documents findings and proposes problem resolution alternatives and maintains current working knowledge of all installed application systems. Additional duties such as Performing risk assessments and testing of data processing systems; Installing firewalls, data encryption and other security measures; Recommending security enhancements and purchases; Training staff on network and information security procedures.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
